Tournaments galore

Howdy and hello.

It's been a while. Again.

I know I keep saying that I'll come back. And I mean it when I say it. But, somehow, something interrupts my life in such a way that I find it difficult to devote time to blogging. First it was the job (70+ hours / week). Then, getting married. Then, buying a house. And most recently, a Jack Russell terrier. My days continue to remain occupied with new experiences, but alas, no cards.

Until last week. When I finished first in the same tournament two times in four days, and once in second. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

This time, there's no getting rid of me.

Not much time.... another small achievement

I've had almost no time over the last few days (since my last post). Last night I fired up FTP just to see what was new, and found myself registering for a PPA $2500k freeroll (one-time shot; a freeroll for new members of the PPA). Played tight, solid poker, then started crushing the table as we neared the bubble. Managed to squeeze out 3rd for a handsome profit, considering there was no buy-in.

A lot of work lately

Work has been hectic lately. New clients demanding time. Old clients demanding time. I I wish we had 30 hour days so that I could sleep for more than 2 hours a night.

Oh well. Just have to grind it out and keep telling myself that this will pay off eventually. I wish I was playing poker.

Alcohol and poker

I've noticed that a lot of the poker tournaments that I've played in recently tend to become increasingly populated by drunk people.
